The Body vs. Nature
II

This week I worked on editing my photos in Photoshop. I merged a couple of my body and nature images, you can see the result below. I found that I really like overlaying the images, it created super interesting textures. However, I also found that overlaying did not work for all my photos, so I will include diptychs in my portfolio as well as overlaid photos.

This photo is a neck and a curved branch.

Do you like diptych or overlaying better for this photo couple?

This week I also took more abstractions of the body photos:

I love the lighting in this photo

  1. I love your combination of man and nature and the way you made it flow cohesively. I also like the different lines of light you use to capture the body, I think they add to the natural objects. Your colors are beautiful.

  2. Lovely images again this week! Wow! Your abstract shots are beautiful on their own and even more compelling in the layered and diptych images. I think the neck/curved branch is successful layered while the arm and branch look stronger as a diptych. It is fine to include both ways of working in your series. Keep up the excellent work!

  3. This is amazing! The neck/branch photo is layered perfectly. I definitely like the overlaying more than the diptych style... because you seem to have a knack for layering and editing. The contrast and lighting is also super effective. Love it.

  4. I love your concentration series so far! All of the finished photos look amazing. The neck/branch photo truly does look "morphed" into one another. For the fist photo i think the layering version is a bit stronger than just the diptic. All of your body photos are very strong with the side and under lighting!

  6. I really enjoy the photo of the neck blended with the tree. It reminds me of some kind of fantasy creature like a fairy morphing with nature. The lighting is amazing, especially in the toe photos.

  7. Lilly you are so good at layering images and finding images that go well together. I love the lighting technique that you use in your body shots. You should do more body/nature images together!
